Jelly Bean® is a dwarf blueberry ideal for the courtyard for ease of harvesting. Forming a nice, compact mound, Jelly Bean displays white, bell-shaped flowers that mature into large, flavourful blueberries that taste like sweet homemade blueberry jam. The foliage has unique, elongated green leaves with highlights of red in cooler climates and turns yellow and red in autumn before falling. Try a mini-hedge along a pathway, plant en masse in the landscape or in decorative patio containers. Prune annually, removing dead or non-fruiting wood to promote dense growth and berry production.

Soil: Rich, well-drained acidic soil.

This slender deciduous tree is famed for its weeping soft habit and papery peeling bark. Its white bark is punctuated with attractive black fissures that feel rough to the touch. Silver Birch is an excellent tree to feature in a group planting or as a striking specimen tree. It provides a pleasing focal point with an underplanting of bulbs. The elegant branches are slightly weeping in habit with light green leaves which turn yellow in autumn.

The Autumn Blaze maple tree - Acer x freemanii Jeffersred - is a large, showy deciduous tree suited for public spaces, avenue plantings, and medium to large properties. Stunning vibrant green, maple-shaped leaves in summer months, turn a deep red in the autumn, providing an expansive show of colour. It makes an excellent shade tree and is perfect as a statement piece in large parks. The leaves are toxic to livestock so it is not suitable for grazing paddocks.

Wisteria Longissima is a classic Japanese climber admired for its breathtaking racemes of pale lavender to mauve flowers that can reach up to 1 metre in length! As autumn arrives, the leaves turn a glowing golden yellow, ensuring year-round appeal. This hardy and vigorous vine is ideal for training over pergolas, arches, fences, or verandahs, where it will form a spectacular seasonal display. Strong support is essential to accommodate its growth and long flower clusters. To keep your wisteria in shape and promote abundant flowering, prune the long, thin shoots in winter.

Acer Palmatum Shaina is a vibrantly-coloured maple with upright branches covered in bright red leaves in spring, and dark maroon-red foliage in summer. This is a dense and compact cultivar, reaching around 3m in height with a nice globe shape. When grafted as a standard, it makes a colourful and elegant showpiece in the garden, courtyard or patio pot. It is necessary to lightly prune to keep the topiary form. For best leaf colour, it is advised to plant in partial shade.

Wisteria frutescens Amethyst Falls is an exquisite wisteria of American origin that produces impressive lilac displays of richly scented flowers in spring and summer. Amethyst Falls comes from a premium plant breeding program resulting in a less aggressive and slightly smaller wisteria than its Chinese and Japanese counterparts. It grows beautifully on fences, trellises and arbours without overwhelming them. Amethyst Falls can be grown in a large container, where it will develop into an impressive patio feature.

Soil: Well-drained, humus-rich soil. However, this species will also tolerate clay, heavy and sandy soils.

You’ll fall in love with Hydrangea macrophylla Love! This large mophead hydrangea features an open, flower form with lovely light pink, heart-shaped petals. Conditions: Prefers morning sun and afternoon shade, however, they do not do well in heavy shade. Frost and coastal tolerant.

Caroline Blueberry is a Northern Highbush Blueberry - a deciduous, fruiting plant that is native to the colder areas of Canada & the United States. These varieties of blueberry plants perform well in Australia and provide a bounty of berries. Caroline is an early fruiting blueberry producing medium-sized, fragrant fruits with a beautiful sweet taste. It is a deciduous shrub with oval leaves, producing pretty bell-shaped white flowers in spring, followed by small blue-purple berries in summer. The leaves of Caroline take on attractive red-orange tones in autumn. Self-pollinating, but cross-pollination with another type with the same bloom time produces higher yields. Blueberries can produce an abundance of fruit over many months, keep them evenly watered with good drainage and use a low nitrogen fertiliser.

Soil: To grow successfully provide organic matter and ample moisture along with a soil pH of 5.5, so if you have alkaline soil you need to consider growing these in pots.
Conditions: It grows best in a sunny but protected position with some shade from the hottest afternoon sun during summer. Approximately 750-1200 hours chilling required for proper dormancy.
