Prunus persica Golden Queen is a popular late-season peach known for its reliable crops and excellent preserving qualities. This clingstone variety produces medium-sized fruit with golden yellow skin and firm, juicy yellow flesh. Harvest occurs very late in the season, usually around March, making it a great option for extending the home peach harvest. In spring, the tree is covered in attractive blossoms before developing its flavourful fruit. Golden Queen is self-pollinating, meaning it does not require another peach tree nearby to produce a good crop. The fruit is highly versatile and is particularly valued for preserving, stewing, bottling, and canning, while still being delicious eaten fresh.

Plum A-Okay is a new release in the Backyard Boosters range. This delicious plum has the highest antioxidants and potential health benefits of any plum available to home gardeners. A-Okay will produce a large number of delicious dark-skinned plums with dark red flesh. Suitable for eating fresh from the tree or juiced, this prolific cropping tree also features dark burgundy new growth making an attractive statement in the garden. This variety is a freestone and needs a cross-pollinator growing nearby - Mariposa or Narrabeen are suitable for this. Like all produce plants, correct pruning, regular fertilising and watering will result in an abundance of fruit.

Once established, Magnolia kobus produces an abundance of beautifully perfumed white flowers on bare branches before the foliage emerges, creating a striking early-season display. Initially pyramidal in shape, the tree gradually develops into an attractive rounded form as it matures. A reliable and trouble-free choice, it offers great versatility for home landscaping. When young, this deciduous magnolia may produce multiple stems from the base, which can be left to develop naturally for a more informal look. Alternatively, training a central leader will encourage a classic single-trunked tree with a graceful, umbrella-like canopy.
