Pyrus Chanticleer is one of the most popular ornamental pear trees, prized for its elegant, upright form, spectacular spring flowers, and brilliant autumn colour. Its naturally narrow, columnar habit makes it an excellent choice for gardens, driveways, streetscapes, and landscapes where space is limited. In spring, the tree is covered in masses of crisp white blossoms that create a stunning floral display before the glossy green foliage emerges. Small russet-brown fruits, about the size of a pea, develop after flowering. While not edible for people, they are highly attractive to birds and often remain on the branches into winter, providing a valuable food source for wildlife. As autumn arrives, the lush green leaves transform into vibrant shades of red, orange, purple, and burgundy, delivering outstanding seasonal interest. It is ideal as a feature tree, avenue planting, screening tree, or formal landscape specimen where its neat, tailored shape can be fully appreciated.

Prunus Morello is a small deciduous cherry tree or shrub valued for both its ornamental appeal and productive fruiting. In spring it produces clusters of delicate white blossoms, followed by dark red sour cherries that ripen in late summer to early autumn. The fruit has a rich, tart flavour that makes it ideal for cooking and preserving. Morello cherries are commonly used in cakes, jams, pies and sauces, and can also be made into a deep, syrupy liqueur. This variety is self-pollinating, meaning it can produce fruit on its own, and it can also help pollinate other late-flowering cherry varieties. Compact and easy to grow, Morello is well suited to home gardens where a reliable fruiting cherry with culinary uses is desired.

Sweet Cheeks Dwarf is a small apple on a compact tree! The red-blushed yellow fruit is sweet and crisp and is fully grown at 7.5cm diameter - an ideal size for kids' lunchboxes or a handy snack. Fruit can be picked from as early as March when the little apples are fully grown. Due to Sweet Cheeks' dwarf size, it is ideal for container planting, small spaces and easy harvesting. Sweet Cheeks Apple needs a pollinator apple tree nearby to produce fruit - we recommend Granny Smith and Bite Size.

The Red Delicious Apple is a popular apple tree known for producing reliable crops of large, bright red fruit with crisp, juicy flesh. The apples feature greenish-white flesh with a crunchy texture and a pleasant, moderately sweet flavour, making them perfect for eating fresh straight from the tree. The fruit is typically medium to large in size with skin that ranges from rich crimson to deep red and is usually ready to harvest in February. For the best fruit quality, annual pruning during winter after the leaves have fallen is recommended. Pruning helps create a stronger branch structure, improves airflow through the canopy, and encourages better fruit production. While Red Delicious will produce fruit on its own, yields improve with cross-pollination. Suitable pollinating varieties include Gala Apple, Granny Smith Apple, Jonathan Apple, Pink Lady Apple, and Fuji Apple planted nearby.

Soil: Prefers humus-rich soil which is well-draining.

Malus domestica Cripps Pink Apple is a compact deciduous fruit tree prized for its delicious, crisp apples. The popular Australian dwarf-sized tree was bred in 1973 and is perfect for small gardens and containers, In spring, the tree produces a beautiful display of white to pale pink blossoms, attracting bees and other pollinators. The delicious apple is ready for harvest in autumn and is blushed reddish pink over pale green skin, with dense, sweet, cream-coloured flesh. Cross pollinators are: Jonathan, Granny Smith and Cox’s Pippen Apples.

Soil: Well-drained and well-worked soil.
Conditions: Full sun. Well-suited to various Australian climates, particularly in regions with cool winters, which are essential for proper fruit development.

Wisteria Shiro-Kapitan is a highly scented, award-winning climber that puts on a spectacular display of elegant white flowers. In spring and early summer, it produces masses of cascading sprays up to 15cm long, filled with fragrant, pea-like snow-white blooms, each marked with a distinctive yellow spot. Later summer flowers emerge with a softer, pinkish blush in bud, while the fresh new foliage appears pale yellow-green, creating a beautiful contrast against the pristine blooms. A perfect choice for covering fences, verandahs, pergolas and sturdy structures, Shiro-Kapitan can also be trained as a weeping standard over a very strong support. Prune lightly after flowering, with a further prune in autumn if needed to maintain shape, particularly when training as a standard.

The Chinese Elm is a large, hardy, fast-growing, attractive semi-deciduous tree with a broad vase-shaped habit and pendulous branches. It has attractive small dark green glossy leaves with serrated edges that change to yellow in autumn and will hold on to the soft arching branches until late winter. It has lovely mottled bark with tones of dark grey, reddish brown, orange, and cream. The Chinese Elm is considered fire retardant and is suited to parks, street and paddock plantings or as a feature tree in larger gardens.
