Vaccinium corymbosum Blue Pearl is a variety of American blueberry that produces beautiful, aromatic, sweet, and slightly acidic blueberries of a good size. The bell-like white flowers arrive in spring, and the harvest is spread from November to January. As with most American blueberries, the foliage turns beautiful red in autumn. Delicious eaten fresh, they can also be cooked as a dessert and are suitable for making jam. Relatively compact, this fruit shrub can be grown in pots. Although self-fertile, Blue Pearl is even more abundant if a few plants of other varieties are planted nearby.

Golden Chain Tree is a small spreading tree of breathtaking beauty in full bloom. It produces an abundance of drooping clusters of fragrant golden yellow flowers during spring and summer, followed by attractive bean-like pods. Its bright green foliage fades to soft green in autumn. The Laburnum can be trained to grow over arches or pergolas, giving a spectacular appearance when in blossom. Every March, the Semi Dwarf Red Delicious Apple tree produces excellent crops of bright red, large, and crunchy apples. A deciduous weeping shrub, Acer palmatum dissectum Atropurpureum is a form of Japanese Maple. It is noted for its ferny, lace-like foliage that emerges purple-red in spring, matures to green with purple tints in summer and finally turns a showy orange-red in autumn. Small reddish flowers in spring are somewhat attractive on close inspection but are not showy from a distance. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.

Conditions: Full sun to part shade. Avoid hot and dry sites. Protect from strong winds.

Diospyros kaki Jiro Non-Astringent Persimmon is a highly decorative, deciduous tree producing delicious large orange fruits with orange-red flesh. The non-astringent varieties can be eaten while firm as opposed to astringent varieties which are sharp and bitter to taste until they have ripened almost to-jelly softness.
