Pot Size
Banksia oreophila, or Mountain Banksia, occurs in the Stirling Range and Fitzgerald River National Parks in the south of Western Australia. It is a hardy medium-sized spreading shrub with blue-grey leaves and attractive mauve-grey, sometimes pinkish flowers during the winter months. Banksia oreophila makes an outstanding container plant, and can be used as part of a low windbreak. Banksias are phosphorus sensitive, so a good native fertiliser is best when it comes to feeding time. Pruning the young plant will encourage a bushier habit.

Soil: Well-drained, light to medium soils are suitable.
Conditions: Full sun to dappled shade. Drought, frost and coastal hardy.
