Cedrela sinensis Chinese Cedar Flamingo is a striking deciduous tree prized for its brilliant spring foliage and elegant, upright form. New growth emerges a vivid salmon-pink, softening to creamy-yellow, then maturing to rich green through summer before turning golden in autumn. The old bark peels off in long strips, adding year-round interest. In mid-summer, dense drooping panicles of small, fragrant whitish flowers appear, attracting bees and other pollinators. With its slender trunk and narrow habit, it’s ideal for smaller gardens, narrow spaces or as a feature tree adding a splash of spring colour to the landscape.
