Acer Seiryu is a unique Japanese maple and the only upright-growing cultivar in the dissectum group. This attractive small tree is prized for its delicate, lace-like foliage, with fresh light green new growth creating a beautiful contrast against the older mid-green leaves. In autumn, the foliage transforms through shades of yellowish-gold, warm gold and brilliant crimson before falling, creating a spectacular seasonal display. Acacia boormanii, or the Snowy River Wattle, is an attractive ornamental shrub with dense foliage and a rounded habit. In late winter and spring the scented yellow flower balls make a wonderful display among the dense soft foliage. Leucophyta Silver Nugget is a rounded, dwarf evergreen shrub that has the appearance of a mound of silvery twigs with cream flowers appearing in spring and summer. Known also as Cushion Bush, the attractive silver foliage is highly tolerant to sea spray making it excellent for coastal planting. The native shrub is an ideal plant for borders, rockeries and container planting.

An old-fashioned favourite, Hydrangea macrophylla, or Bigleaf Hydrangea, is the very picture of a romantic cottage garden. With its lush foliage and generous, oversized flower heads, it brings softness and charm to garden beds, borders and shaded corners. Flowering through summer and into autumn, the blooms range from deep purple and rich blue to soft pink, red and pure white. One of its most fascinating traits is its ability to change colour depending on soil pH. In acidic soils, flowers turn beautiful shades of blue, while alkaline soils produce pink to red tones. White varieties, however, remain white regardless of soil conditions. Hydrangea macrophylla is durable and relatively carefree, rewarding gardeners year after year with masses of spectacular blooms.

Acer palmatum Bloodgood has been grown in Australia for many years, proving its reliability and garden performance. Over time, it develops a broad, spreading crown, making it an excellent feature tree for a wide range of landscapes. The deeply lobed, serrated foliage emerges a rich plum-purple, holding its colour well through summer before transforming into vivid crimson tones in autumn. Ideal as a deciduous shade tree, it performs beautifully in gardens, parks, and as a background feature in mixed borders. Like other Japanese maples, it has fine, delicate foliage and a naturally elegant form. One of the most renowned Japanese maple cultivars, Bloodgood is valued for its striking colour, toughness, and adaptability.

Myoporium parvifolium 'Yareena' is a quick-growing ground-cover suited to a wide range of conditions. It is quite delicate to look at with a fresh stiff green foliage of semi-succulent leaves which are narrow, blunt and thick. The flower clusters are fragrantly honey-scented and made up of white tubular flowers through late spring to early summer. These are followed by globular berries. This attractive low maintenance plant is ideal for filling those gaps, under-planting, cascading down embankments or trailing over retaining walls and raised garden beds.
