A compact, evergreen plant with blue strappy leaves, Dianella Cassa Blue is an extremely hardy dwarf clumping native grass. Showing off masses of tiny purple-blue starry flowers in spring, followed by blue berries during summer, this variety puts in quite a show for many months of the year. As it is one of the longest-flowering dianellas, Cassa Blue is a perfect choice for edging, potted displays or creating beautiful points of interest in native and exotic garden beds. Dianella are a clumping spreading type of plant and as such are incredibly useful for stabilising the soil.

Callistemon Little John is a very popular dwarf bottlebrush with scarlet red flowers that give a spectacular display of colour. Little John can be shy to flower but worth growing for the attractive blue-grey foliage and compact habit alone. Buckinghamia celsissima, or the Ivory Curl Tree, is an ornamental native tree with dark glossy leaves. An abundance of racemes of creamy white, sweetly scented saccate flowers clustered at the ends of the branches appear in autumn. It makes a stunning feature plant, suited to street planting and large gardens. Prune as desired to promote dense growth and flowering. Fertilise with a slow-release native fertiliser in spring.

Acacia Scarlet Blaze is a unique ornamental form of Cinnamon Wattle. Discovered in 1995 in Victoria, Scarlet Blaze is a striking, small evergreen tree with a weeping habit. Beautiful blood-red, ball-shaped flowers appear from August to October whilst the leaves exude a fragrant cinnamon perfume. An excellent informal hedge, screen or windbreak, Scarlet Blaze is a magnificent feature plant in the garden. Pruning is not recommended for the species.
