Meet Carnival Red — the garden’s answer to fireworks with roots. This dense-growing leucospermum turns heads with soft mid-green foliage and an explosion of vivid red pincushion flowers throughout spring. Bright, bold and impossible to ignore, it brings serious colour and texture to garden beds, feature plantings and statement pots alike. Use it as a striking feature shrub, plant en masse for maximum impact, or shape it into a vibrant hedge or border. The nectar-rich blooms are also a magnet for birds and pollinators — and they make exceptional long-lasting cut flowers indoors too.
Soil: Well-drained soil. If you have clay soils, use mounds to plant into to facilitate drainage. Be sure to use a native soil mix when planting. Exotic potting mix or exotic fertiliser will kill them.
Conditions: Full sun. Coast and drought tolerant. Will tolerate a light frost.

The deciduous Forest Pansy is an elegant and spectacularly colourful small tree attracting birds, butterflies and bees to the garden. It has bold heart-shaped leaves that open up in spring to a brilliant, eye-catching reddish-purple shade with a velvety-satin appearance. The foliage deepens to purple-black and fades to purple-green in summer. In autumn, Forest Pansy showcases leaves of brilliant yellow to orange. The branches have a distinctive, smooth dark brown wood that provides a contrast with the blossom-like pink flowers that are borne before the re-emergence of reddish-purple leaves in spring. Forest Pansy is a stunning feature tree for small gardens or courtyards.

Myoporum insulare Prostrate, or Boobialla (also known as Native Juniper or Coastal Boobialla), is a native, fruit-bearing groundcover. This species produces small white flowers as the weather heats up - in warmer areas of Australia, it’s not unusual to experience a long flowering season - with fruit following shortly after. As summer ends, Boobialla produces small, round, purple fruits with an astringent sweetness. They’re great for jams, jellies and preserves. Even when creeping, it develops a dense, bushy appearance, making it ideal for rockeries, filling gaps between plants, or suppressing weeds. Boobialla is a hardy plant that adapts to a wide range of climates. In colder areas it may lose some of its lustre and drop leaves when exposed to frost, but it usually recovers quickly in spring after a light prune.
Soil: It does best in an easily draining, sandy soil
Conditions: Full sun. Drought, salt, coastal and light frost tolerant.

Lemon Eureka Dwarf is a compact, evergreen citrus tree prized for its attractive foliage and reliable fruiting. Its rich green leaves provide a lush backdrop to petite, white, highly fragrant flowers that can appear almost year-round, adding both beauty and scent to the garden. Following the blooms, the tree produces large, bright yellow lemons with thick skins and a classic tangy flavour. The main harvest occurs from autumn through winter, with lighter crops continuing into spring and summer, making it a highly productive variety for home gardeners. For best results, fertilise regularly during the active growing seasons and maintain consistent watering through the warmer months to encourage juicy, well-formed fruit.
