Fruits may be picked from the tree and will fall to the ground when ripe. This species is dioecious, meaning you’ll need both male and female trees to produce fruit. To increase the chances of pollination, the best practice is to plant several plants or use them as a hedge. The fruit is used as a compliment for chilli, garlic, sauces and marinades, preserves, muffins, cheesecakes and fruit compotes.
Soil: Tolerates a range of soil types including sandy soils.
