A hardy, low-spreading shrub, the Banksia gardneri brings interest to any garden - featuring dark green leaves with a leathery texture and slightly serrated shape and brown buds. From September to November, the buds open to beautiful tan-brown cylindrical-shaped flowers. The native is ideal as a feature plant, weed-suppressing ground cover in verges, mixed beds, and embankments. Banksia gardneri grows well amongst and beneath taller plants whilst attracting native birds and insects for food sources and habitat.
