Pittosporum tenuifolium Tasman Ruffles is a stunning choice for shape, contrast and colour. The evergreen shrub has very pretty, crimped-edge, silvery lime-green foliage that fills the contrasting reddish-black stems. In spring, bundles of showy purple flowers bloom—offering a spectacular contrast to the enchanting foliage. Pittosporum tobira, or Japanese Pittosporum, is a rounded, broadleaved evergreen shrub or small tree. Glossy, vivid green leaves are tightly arranged in whorls at the ends of the stiff branches, and fragrant, orange-blossom-scented flower clusters appear in early to mid-spring. Along with having unique and showy foliage, Japanese Pittosporum is extremely resilient and can be grown as a houseplant, a bush, or a small tree.

Pittosporum eugeniodies, or Lemonwood, is a beautiful, shrub-like evergreen tree native to New Zealand. Cream-coloured, honey-scented flowers appear in spring and summer, drawing the bees and birds to the garden. The long, light green glossy leaves have a lemon scent when crushed. It is an attractive, quick-growing shelter, revegetation or hedging tree.
