Crepe Myrtle

Twilight Magic Crepe Myrtle is an absolute stunner! The ornamental tree has striking, deep purple leaves that hold their colour from the moment they appear in spring to the end of autumn. The bright fuchsia pink flowers of this crepe myrtle are a beautiful contrast to the dark foliage during the summer months. Smooth, mottled, light cinnamon brown bark adds year-round interest. Wonderful for use as a large shrub to accent the landscape or as a specimen or street tree.

Nymphaea Sioux is a spectacular hardy water lily with star-shaped apricot blooms that put on a different display each day. The 10–20cm flowers open in soft yellow-apricot tones before deepening through apricot and orange-red, finished with delicate pale-yellow tips. A favourite for its long flowering season and ever-changing colour, Sioux makes a stunning feature in larger ponds and water gardens. It requires at least 45cm of water and can thrive in depths of up to 1.8m. While it will tolerate some shade, at least 5 hours of sun per day will encourage the best flowering. Sioux dies back naturally during colder weather before returning when conditions warm.

Prune in autumn following leaf drop to encourage prolific summer flowering and a dense growth habit, or deadhead after the first flush to maintain an elegant shape and encourage repeat blooming.
