Bougainvillea glabra Purple Cascade

Purple Cascade is a compact bougainvillea loved for its rich deep purple flowers and lush green foliage. It has a naturally cascading habit, making it perfect for hanging baskets, pots, low fences or small trellises, and it can even be used as a colourful informal groundcover or low hedge. With regular feeding it will flower for most of the year, putting on its best display through the warmer months. This hardy variety establishes easily. Water lightly but consistently during the first year to build a strong root system, then it becomes quite tough and low maintenance. Lightly support or guide young stems if you want to train its shape, though it usually forms a neat upright shrub on its own. Mulch well, prune after flowering to keep it tidy and encourage new blooms, and apply a slow release fertiliser to keep it thriving

Conditions: Full sun. Drought, heat and coastal tolerant. Frost tender.
