Red Oak

Quercus rubra Red Oak is a fast-growing, long-lived deciduous tree with a wonderful broad canopy of deeply lobed, glossy green, pointed leaves. This tree is well suited to Australian conditions and prized for its brilliant display of deep burgundy and scarlet foliage in the autumn. An imposing tree suited to a larger garden, creating a focal point and stunning backdrop to tiered plantings. Attractive rough bark develops into ridges and darkens over time.
