Pomegranate Mollar de Elche is a medium-sized, deciduous, fruiting tree native to Spain. From late summer, orange blooms appear which develop into large fruits.  The edible seeds are small and very sweet - making it a highly sought-after variety. Apart from its superior flavour it is known for high antioxidant, vitamin and mineral content. Fruits can be harvested from March through to mid-May. Low water requirements once established in the garden, though if grown in containers - keep well watered over the summer. A great variety to be grown in colder climates


Soil: They require humus-rich soil with good drainage, however, they can be grown in a vast range of soil types.
Conditions: Full sun. It is suitable for a wide range of growing conditions from temperate to semi-arid areas, preferring cold winters.
