
Ptilotus drummondii Magenta is an Australian native with lots of ornamental appeal due to its stunning thick blue-green leaves, and distinctive dark pink to purple flowers ageing to grey throughout the warmer months. Mulla Mulla flower from April to November, and will make a lovely cut floral arrangement. Mulla Mulla is best potted or planted in hot, dry areas of the garden, with excellent water drainage.
Soil: Well-drained sandy soil.
Conditions: Full sun. They are heat, coastal and drought tolerant plants that can also withstand light frost when established.
