Prunus Angelina Burdett is a heritage English dessert plum dating back to the 1850s, and is completely separate from the modern Angeleno (Angelina) plum. It produces small to medium, oval fruit with beautiful blue to dark purple skin covered in a natural bloom. Inside is firm, juicy yellow to yellow-green flesh with a deliciously sweet flavour. The semi-freestone stone makes the fruit easy to enjoy fresh, while the plums also hang well on the tree and keep nicely after picking. A great choice for smaller gardens, Angelina Burdett ripens from late January through February. While it can fruit on its own, planting another compatible plum nearby can improve pollination and crop yields.
