Protea Australis Pink is a beautiful flowering selection of Protea obtusifolia, admired for its breathtaking pink blooms, silvery-green foliage and exceptional toughness in Australian conditions. From autumn through winter, striking cup-shaped flowers emerge, with rich pink bracts surrounding silvery-white centres to create a stunning contrast against the dense, leathery foliage. Highly valued for both garden display and cut flower production, the long-lasting blooms are carried on sturdy stems and offer excellent vase life, adding beautiful structure and colour to floral arrangements. Its compact, dense growth habit makes it ideal for hedging, screening, feature planting, native gardens and water-wise landscapes.
Soil: Well-drained soil. If you have clay soils, use mounds for planting to facilitate drainage. Be sure to use a native soil mix when planting - exotic potting mix or exotic fertiliser will kill them.
