Sometimes referred to as the Golden White Pine, Pinus parviflora Ogon Goyo is a slow-growing, compact specimen ideal for the rockery, or as a bonsai. Beautiful red buds emerge from the depths of the unusual cream to golden needles in spring. The foliage matures to bluish-green, contrasting against the small decorative brown cones. Like all Japanese pines, it responds well to pruning, allowing for the creation of a living sculpture over time.
