Ideal for medium to large ponds, ornamental lakes and even farm dams, Chromatella requires plenty of water surface area to accommodate its generous leaf spread. Plant with the growing tip positioned 20–40cm below the water surface; deeper planting may reduce growth and flowering. The broad lily pads help shade the water, providing shelter for fish while helping to naturally reduce algae.
