Metrosideros collina x villosa Silver Glory

Metrosideros Silver Glory is a compact, dwarf shrub prized for its attractive silvery-green foliage and vibrant orange-red, powderpuff-like flowers. Flowering is most prolific in late spring, with occasional blooms throughout the year providing ongoing colour and attracting birds and bees to the garden. The compact growth habit makes Silver Glory well suited to small gardens, borders, pots and low-maintenance landscaping. Lightly trim after flowering in late spring to maintain the desired shape and size. For best results, mulch well and apply a well-balanced fertiliser in late spring and throughout summer.

Soil: Well-drained soil.
Conditions: Full sun. Does well in coastal gardens and will be waterwise once established. Only light frost tolerant.
