Lavandula dentata, or French Lavender, is a gorgeously fragrant shrub with aromatic silver-grey foliage and spikes of fragrant purple blooms. The leaves and dried flowers are used extensively in dried herbs for medicinal purposes and international cuisine. After the autumnal flowering, cut the plant back to one-fourth of its original height. It is a versatile plant, suitable for container planting, rockeries, garden beds and as a border plant.
