Hydrangea Kirsten is a compact-growing hydrangea, making it an excellent choice for garden borders, cottage gardens and large containers. It produces classic mophead blooms, forming large, rounded flower clusters that create a spectacular display throughout the flowering season. The dense green foliage provides attractive structure and a lush backdrop both before and after flowering. One of the most appealing features of Kirsten is its ability to produce different flower colours depending on soil pH. In alkaline soils, the blooms tend towards bright pink, while acidic soils encourage beautiful blue flowers. In neutral soils with a pH around 7, the plant may produce a charming combination of pink, mauve and blue blooms.
