Grevillea lanigera Mello Yellow is a spectacular form of the woolly grevillea which is a superb plant for cooler climates such as the southern states of Australia. Mello Yellow is a reliable evergreen with deep-green narrow leaves and a neat compact growth habit. Pale, custard-yellow flowers appear in autumn and continue blooming through to mid-spring.
It's a little shy to flower when young, compared to other mini grevilleas, but worth the wait for the unusual flower colour. Mello Yellow is happy in coastal and seaside gardens, windy locations, rockeries as well as windowboxes and containers. Once established it is a very low-maintenance plant drawing bees and native birds to the garden.
Soil: Well-drained soil.
Conditions: Full sun. Drought, frost and coastal tolerant.
Size: Height 0.3m x width 1m
