A compact, evergreen plant with blue strappy leaves, Dianella caerulea Cassa Blue is an extremely hardy dwarf clumping native grass. Showing off masses of tiny purple blue starry flowers in spring, followed by blue berries during summer, this variety puts in quite a show for many months of the year. As it is one of the longest-flowering dianellas, Cassa Blue is a perfect choice for edging, potted displays or creating beautiful points of interest in native and exotic garden beds. Dianella are a clumping spreading type of plant and as such are incredibly useful for stabilising the soil.
