A breathtaking cultivar of the Kashmir Cypress, Cupressus Silver Shadow is prized for its graceful, weeping habit and soft, feathery foliage. The foliage is beautifully textured, composed of slender, flattened sprays that drape from the branches in a gentle cascade. A soft grey-blue colour defines the mature foliage, while the new growth in early spring emerges with striking white variegation—so luminous it can turn the whole plant silvery-white when young. Cupressus cashmeriana is commonly grown as a specimen in parks and large gardens but is also well suited to being used for screening and shelter on lifestyle blocks.
