Citrus sinensis Cara Cara Dwarf

A deliciously sweet and distinctive navel orange, Citrus Cara Cara is loved for its low-acid flavour and beautiful pink to reddish flesh. The intensity of the colour can vary with growing conditions, with cooler climates often producing a deeper blush. Seedless, tender and easy to peel, the fruit has a rich, sweet citrus flavour with subtle raspberry and floral notes. Delicious eaten fresh from the tree, it is also excellent for juicing, fruit salads, desserts and sauces. The tree is a neat, compact evergreen with rich green foliage and a naturally bushy habit, making it an excellent choice for smaller gardens and courtyards. Fragrant white flowers appear in mid to late spring, followed by medium to large, thin-skinned fruit. Reaching only around 1.5–2m in ideal ground conditions, it is also perfectly suited to growing in a pot.

Conditions: Full sun. Light frost and coastal tolerant. Protect from strong wind.
