It is dense growing with small deep green foliage which makes pruning easy as the plant looks neat immediately afterwards. English Box is often used to create a formal garden, clipped to all shapes of topiaries and suitable for pots.The best height for English box is between 0.5m and 1 metre as the taller it grows it can lose its neat, dense shape. Fertilise during spring and prune as required to maintain form.
