Buxus sempervirens English Box

English Box (Buxus sempervirens) is an evergreen, hardy, small to medium size hedge. It is dense growing with small deep green foliage which makes pruning easy as the plant looks neat immediately afterwards. English Box is often used to create a formal garden, clipped to all shapes of topiaries and suitable for pots.The best height for English box is between 0.5m and 1 metre as the taller it grows it can lose its neat, dense shape. Fertilise during spring and prune as required to maintain form.

Soil: Well-drained soil. Mulch and water well when planting. Continue to water regularly for the first 12 weeks or until the plant is established.
Conditions: Full sun to part shade. Frost tolerant
Size: Height 1-2m x width 2-3m ( Will grow 3m unclipped)
