Chrysocephalum apiculatum Silver and Gold

Silver & Gold is a thick, mat-forming ground cover that’s incredibly useful in the garden. It can spread to cover up to one square metre, creating a dense layer that helps suppress weeds while also acting as a natural mulch to keep the soil cooler. The soft grey-green foliage provides a lovely contrast to other plants, and for most of the year the plant is dotted with clusters of bright golden flowers, bringing a cheerful splash of colour to the garden. Fast growing and hardy, Silver & Gold can handle light frosts and periods of dryness once established. It works beautifully as a ground cover, but also looks great in pots and tubs, planted on banks, or spilling over retaining walls.

Soil: Well-drained soil.

Conditions: Full sun to part shade. Light frost tolerance.
