Azalea kurume Kirin
$24.00
Kirin Kurume Azalea is a classic, compact evergreen azalea that produces masses of small, dusky musk-pink flowers through winter and spring. Its naturally dense, rounded habit and slow to moderate growth rate make it ideal for both formal and informal garden designs. Kirin is perfect for mass planting beneath trees, as a specimen shrub, or grown in pots for courtyards, patios, entertaining areas, and to frame entrances. Kurume azaleas are especially popular in Japanese-style gardens, where they are often clipped into stunning, flower-covered mounds. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain a neat, compact shape. Mulch well during extended dry periods and fertilise in spring and late summer using an azalea-specific fertiliser or a complete organic fertiliser for best results.
