Fragaria x. ananassa Tristan Starwberry Hanging Basket

Fragaria × ananassa Tristan is a strawberry that’s just as ornamental as it is productive. Bred especially for hanging baskets and pots, this compact plant spills neatly over the edges, creating a soft cascading effect. Place a container on a patio table to make a beautiful and edible centrepiece. Tristan is an everbearing strawberry, producing a steady supply of sweet, bright red berries from spring through summer and often into autumn. The plant is also highly decorative, with vibrant hot pink flowers that add colour while the fruit develops. Its tidy, compact habit produces very few runners, making it ideal for containers, window boxes and small gardens, though it will grow happily in garden beds as well. In frost-free climates, the foliage may remain evergreen, providing year-round interest.
