Vaccinium spp. Misty Blueberry is an attractive selection with bright green foliage. Pale pink flowers fade to white in spring, and medium to large blueberries will soon follow throughout summer. The leaves change to a red-purple during autumn and the stems turn red during the winter -providing colour through the colder months. This plant is a lovely addition to patios and gardens in cooler areas. Apply a complete fertiliser in spring.
Soil: Prefers an acidic soil with a pH of 4.5-5.5. Before planting, improve the soil by adding decomposed manure and compost. This is especially important in clay soils, as blueberries prefer a free-draining soil high in organic matter.
Conditions: Sunny position that is protected from wind. It requires 300 hours of winter chill to set fruit.
Size: Height 1.8m x width 1.8m
