Alnus jorullensis, or the Evergreen Alder, is an attractive, conical evergreen tree with drooping slender branches. The foliage is a dark, glossy-green with serrated margins, and the bark is distinctive with bronze-coloured new growth. The well-shaped alder is a fast-growing tree and is useful for building a quick screen or shade tree, as well as drinking up moisture from wet/problem areas.
