Fraxinus griffithii is an attractive, quick-growing small ornamental tree with dark green smooth leaflets with silver-coloured undersides. Masses of flowers in large loose, fragrant panicles appear in spring to autumn - covering most of the tree. The blooms are followed by white " helicopter" seeds that hang on the tree to mid-winter. This species is great for use as a feature tree in gardens, parks or paddocks, as an avenue planting or as a screen or windbreak
