Teucrium fruticans, or the Shrubby Germander, has a wide, sprawling habit with woolly, whitish stems and aromatic, grey-green leaves. Light blue-lilac flowers are borne in spring on terminal spikes in late spring and summer. Grows naturally into an arching bush but can be pruned lightly after flowering to maintain shape if required. Plant in borders, cottage and coastal gardens.
