Syzygium australe Straight and Narrow is a very slender, semi-compact dense plant. It has tight, attractive foliage with a new leaf colour of rich warm red and white flowers that proceeds to beautiful pink/red fruit. It makes a native alternative to the Italian cypress or pencil pine and is excellent for hedging, screening, feature planting, and as a potted specimen. Tip prune while young to encourage dense foliage growth, and prune yearly or as required once fully established.
