Strelizia reginae

Strelitzia regina, or the Bird of Paradise, is a stunning shrub with tropical orange and purple flowers shaped like a bird's beak and crest on long thick stems. The striking flower stems are surrounded by clusters of shapely, grey/green, spoon-like leaves. Remove spent flowers and old foliage as required. Plant it poolside, in beds and borders, in pots on the deck.

Soil: Well drained and enriched with organic matter.
Conditions: Plant in a full sun to partly shaded position
