Sequoiadendron giganteum is one of the world's largest trees! With an average mature height of between 50–80m and trunk diameters ranging between 6–8m, they are nature's skyscrapers. These truly magnificent trees are commonly known as 'Giant Redwood' after their distinctive reddish-brown bark. Sequoia trunks become narrow as they grow, forming a rounded top where individual branches with beautiful coloured blue-green needles sweep downward. Take care when planting to plan for the tree’s height and circumference at maturity.
