Robinia pseudoacacia Umbraculifera, or Robinia Mop Top, is a naturally topiarised, thornless tree with a compact, rounded canopy grafted onto a straight trunk. Mop Top requires very little maintenance to maintain a lovely classical manicured look. Foliage is bright green turning yellow in autumn, with long, fragrant white flowers appearing in late spring/summer, followed by reddish-brown pods. It is ideal for planting in confined areas as a feature tree or for creating avenues where conventional trees won’t fit.
