Rhipsalis clavata, also called Sausage-Chain Cactus, features light green, linked branches that cascade over the lip of the pot. The blooms are sporadic all season and consist of very small, delicate white 'bell' flowers positioned at the end of each branch. The blooms are followed by small yellow/red fruits. The ideal situation for this decorative succulent is a sheltered position in a shaded area, under trees and indoors in hanging decorative containers.

Soil: The soil should be well-drained and contain minerals; a general cacti mix can be used. It can be made more permeable if you mix in some clay granules, perlite, spaghnum or small orchid bark. Do not overwater.
Conditions: Rhipsalis do not appreciate direct sunlight as they can burn, turn yellow or become spotted.
Size: The weeping tendrils may reach 2m in length.
