Pittosporum rhombifolium is a dense, conical-shaped tree that bears clusters of creamy star-shaped flowers in spring. The flowers are followed by vibrant orange berries that eventually split open revealing the black seeds within. This is a popular native screen tree that is particularly attractive when the berries are on full display. The species is well established in cultivation in temperate, sub-tropical, and tropical climates where it forms an attractive medium-sized tree that is not too large for suburban gardens.
