Philotheca nodiflorus, or Blue Waxflower, is a hardy native shrub that explodes in colour from late winter through spring with gorgeous masses of porcelain-blue, star-like flowers. The grey foliage is compact with long slender rosemary-like leaves that release a citrus smell when crushed. Perfect for cottage gardens, native and wildlife gardens, pots and containers, as a precious shot of blue in the flowerbed. A prune after flowering will help give the plant shape and density and encourage more flowering stems. Follow with an application of a native slow-release fertiliser.

Soil: Well-drained soil.
Conditions: Full sun to part shade. Frost, drought and coastal tolerant. Dislikes humidity. It loves dry summers and a Mediterranean climate, perfect for southern states, hinterlands, and outback gardens.
Size: Height 1m x width 0.80m
