Calypso is a dense-growing Leucospermum. The protea has foliage of a lovely mid-green and masses of marvellous bright red buds maturing to orange-yellow pincushion flowers throughout spring and summer. This variety makes a stunning addition to any garden or patio and is equally at home in display pots or a garden bed, as a feature plant, mass planting or borders/hedges.
Soil: Well-drained soil. If you have clay soils, use mounds to plant into to facilitate drainage. Be sure to use a native soil mix when planting as exotic potting mix/fertiliser will kill them.
