Lagerstroemia Hopi Crepe Myrtle is a compact multi-stemmed shrub with an upright and spreading growth habit. Showy warm rose-pink flower clusters bring this deciduous shrub to life at the peak of summer's heat.
In autumn the dark green leaves turn reddish-orange adding a splash of colour to the garden. This hybrid is often used as a specimen tree in parks and gardens. Prune in autumn following leaf drop for prolific summer flowering and a dense growth habit; or deadhead after first flowers to keep an elegant shape and encourage a second flower flush. Fertilise using a slow-release fertiliser twice yearly.
Soil: Most well-drained loams with some humus present. They thrive in clay but will also tolerate sandier soils as well.
Conditions: Full sun. Place in a sheltered spot in the garden.
Size: Height 3.5m x width 3.5m
