With the common name of Rose Cone-Flower, Isopogon formosus is a compact shrub from the south of Western Australia. The young foliage is silky and sometimes reddish. Adult leaves are green to reddish-green, very divided and each segment has a sharp point. The eye-catching rosy pink flowers in spring attract bees, birds and butterflies to the garden. In containers use a free-draining potting mix. In all plantings, use a low-phosphorus native plant fertiliser.

Soil: Well-drained soil. Avoid heavy clay soils.
Conditions: Full sun. Frost, drought, heat and coastal tolerant.
