Ilex crenata fastigiata is a superb form of Japanese Holly with a columnar habit with dense, glossy dark-green foliage. This evergreen, upright shrub is an ideal accent plant when clipped to shape or left to grow naturally and is excellent for breaking up low or horizontal planting schemes. In late spring, it produces a delicate white flower followed in autumn by small insignificant black berries. An excellent choice for small gardens, growing between windows or growing in containers. Ideally suited for use as a formal hedge.
