Tuxedo Red definitely stands out from all other hydrangeas! The flowers are big, fleshy, and bold, and cover most of the plant. Its leaves are a deep purple-black (hence its name) so they look good even when they aren't in bloom. The flowers appear in early spring and if you add a cupful of garden lime around the plant each year, you will increase the redness of the flower. Prune after flowering to encourage new growth.
