Helichrysum petiolare, or Licorice Plant, is a mounding trailing plant with the delicious aroma of licorice. The stems are covered in small, heart-shaped, silvery-grey, felty leaves that are the main feature of the plant. The rounded heads of cream flowers appear in summer and are not particularly significant. Lovely trailing tendrils of silvery grey will mound up into low border edging or groundcover; trail over a hanging basket or window box. It requires regular trimming to maintain a compact shape.
