Native to southeast WA, Hakea brownii Fan Leaf Hakea is popular with gardeners due to its unusually thick, fan-shaped foliage. Small, scented cream or brown flowers cover the hakea from August to November. The following fruits are large, rough, and egg-shaped - attracting native birds to the garden. As it is highly ornamental this hakea is useful as a feature in a native garden or for uses of floral art.
