
Gordonia Yunnanensis, or the 'Fried Egg Plant", is a tall, fast-growing evergreen shrub or small tree. (This form is yunnanensis which simply means it is from the Yunnan province in southern China). It has slender, oval, green leaves and bears unusual white, crepey, open-faced flowers with golden yellow stamens throughout winter and spring. It has the largest flowers of the Gordonia genus. They make excellent features and shade trees in small to medium gardens.
